Once again, a hearty welcome to all bhaktas on behalf of Shiva Sameeksha Samithi for yet another divine satsang by Sri Ramanacharanatirtha Nochur Venkataraman at Rameswaram from Dec 18th to 25th 2019. Be prepared to drink the amrutha vani of Acharya.
This time at Rameswaram, the sacred tirtha were Bhagavan Rama himself worshipped Mahadeva, we are having this Rama Katha Sudha. This is a unique saptaha yajna. The parayana will be done on the Yoga Vasishta—a profound Vedanta grantha. Swami Rama Tirtha has remarked that the very listening of Vasishtam gives Realisation of Brahman. This Rama Katha satsang will be an ecstatic blend of Rama-katha, Yoga Vasishta, Lord Ramanatha Swami and many sages who are associated with this kshetra.
Rameswaram is not only associated with Ramayana but also with our proud, inspiring history where only a century ago Swami Vivekananda alighted after his supreme victory at the west with Adhyatma-vidya. Like Hanuman, it is from here that Swamiji went in search of Sita—the glory of Bharatha Varsha captured by the West. He was the pioneer in sethu-bandhana that regained the Self-respect of Sanatana-dharma.
Bhagavan Ramana too was born very nearby. This Rama Katha will touch all these aspects of Ramanatha Kshetra.
Besides the most important factor is that Rameswaram is a jyotirlinga—a supremely important Sivakshetra. The link with all the tirthas alone connect our Bharatha Varsha more than any political unity.
